Macut: I am coming to Banja Luka to support the Serb people in celebrating Republika Srpska Day

Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut said that he is coming to Banja Luka today to support the Serb people in the celebration of Republika Srpska Day.

“We are coming with great pleasure to meet our friends and compatriots and to support them in celebrating Republika Srpska Day. It is a great joy to meet our relatives, friends, and fellow Serbs,” Macut told RTS.

Speaking on the occasion of Republika Srpska Day, Macut emphasized that Serbia and Republika Srpska should preserve national unity and noted that the time has come for deeper integration, particularly in the field of education.

“The message is that Serbia always looks after our compatriots in Republika Srpska,” Macut said.

He recalled that Serbia supports the Dayton Peace Agreement and Bosnia and Herzegovina, while at the same time taking care of the Serb people living in Republika Srpska.

“In every possible way, through the Agreement on Special and Parallel Relations, we maintain cooperation, not only in healthcare but also in education and science. The time has come for integration, to use this opportunity to provide full support from Serbia to our academic community that works and lives in Republika Srpska, as well as to future academics,” Macut concluded.
