Republika Srpska stands as a beacon of courage and respect for principles, said prominent American analyst and former diplomat James Jatras.
He said it was his pleasure to congratulate the people of Republika Srpska on January 9, the Day of Republika Srpska, and the 34th anniversary of its founding.
Jatras stressed that the Serbs living in Republika Srpska have good reason to be proud of their perseverance in the face of challenges that threatened their very survival—challenges that would have broken a lesser people.
“In a highly fluid and still dangerous situation affecting the wider region of Central and Eastern Europe, Republika Srpska stands as a beacon of courage and respect for principles,” Jatras told Srna.
He expressed particular personal admiration for SNSD leader Milorad Dodik for the way he thwarted a coordinated campaign waged against him by illegitimate ‘authorities’ claiming to represent the so-called ‘international community.’
“I am convinced that a bright future awaits Republika Srpska and the Serb people,” Jatras concluded.
