Drina advances to the final of the Republika Srpska Cup

The basketball team of Drina from Zvornik has become the first finalist of the Republika Srpska Cup. Drina defeated last year’s finalist Jahorina 88–71 in Zvornik.

The home side built a strong lead in the opening quarter, going up 29–16, and by halftime had extended the advantage to 48–29, clearly indicating that the visitors would face a difficult task in the second half.

After the break, Drina comfortably maintained its lead and secured a place in the final, led by an outstanding performance from Nikola Gajić, who scored 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

He was supported by Igor Bratić with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Nikola Todić with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Bojan Matić added 10 points.

For Jahorina, Josh Pierre-Louis scored 34 points, while Arderil Clay added 11.

With this victory, Drina remains unbeaten this season, having recorded ten wins in the Republika Srpska championship so far.

The second semifinal will be played on Tuesday at 6:00 PM, when Borac faces Akademac.
