Dodik: Bosnia and Herzegovina has a grotesque system that works against the existence of Republika Srpska

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that neither the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council nor the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina are constitutional categories or the result of an agreement among the peoples, but rather an adventure of the international political elite in an attempt to capture Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“This is now a time, unfortunately, of the permanent entrenchment of that aggressive institution called the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina through alleged amendments that are routinely declared European, but have no value or significance whatsoever,” Dodik said.

He noted that no country in Europe has a court and prosecution service that are not provided for by the constitution. “Here they exist, and they are proclaimed as European values. Everything is grotesque, unfinished, and goes on endlessly,” Dodik added.

Dodik stressed that SNSD cannot stop fighting for the interest called Republika Srpska and its rights.

He asked whether the rule of law and European heritage mean that a foreigner can impose regulations and say: “Anyone who does not respect me goes to prison?!”

According to him, the international community is moving to sustain all the blunders that foreigners themselves created, which is why they need a new political lineup and are therefore trying with the opposition from Republika Srpska.

“They now want these five from the opposition, who are not a definitive solution because they do not control the House of Peoples and will not be able to do anything there. Our people should be calm, at least in this period while we have this support,” Dodik told ATV.

He said he would ask the Serb people to think carefully ahead of the next elections and strengthen the sovereigntist structure called Republika Srpska, gathered around him, SNSD, and their coalition partners.

“Give us the opportunity to establish Republika Srpska in line with our interests, not a handful of individuals who pretend they understand nothing while committing a great betrayal,” Dodik added.

He emphasized that Republika Srpska has a chance only with a clear and firm policy conducted within institutions and the defense of its rights, and that even the EU cannot change that.

Dodik reiterated that Republika Srpska supports the original Dayton Agreement and therefore has no problem remaining within Bosnia and Herzegovina, which means that the Court and Prosecutor’s Office, everything imposed—including indirect taxation and much else—should be abolished.

“It must be clearly delineated that Republika Srpska can be part of a federal, confederal Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we within it. Anything else is neither Dayton, nor the Constitution, nor our interest,” Dodik said.

He stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina is not a state, but a territory without its own sovereignty, envisaged to have sovereignty only in international matters.

Dodik said the greatest corruption today is in the judiciary and that his position is zero tolerance toward it.

He assessed that the prosecutor’s office and courts of Republika Srpska have been devalued, that they are anti-people institutions with greater powers than the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, yet do nothing.

“In that way, through inaction, they fit into this narrative of strengthening the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is the intention of the laws now being proposed. Europe wants a vote in favor of that,” Dodik said.

According to him, the failure of prosecutors to act on any issue creates an opportunity for the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to intervene.

At the same time, Dodik said, international institutions are doing everything to organizationally and logistically strengthen the power of the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“A totally grotesque system has been created that exists nowhere else in the world—only here—so that it can work not against me, but against the existence of Republika Srpska. And when you do not act as a judge or prosecutor in accordance with the law, you act against Republika Srpska,” Dodik stressed.

Further vote recounting is CEC propaganda; our principle is dignity

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that the continued recounting of votes from the snap election for president of Republika Srpska by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina represents propaganda and the forcing of false claims about disputed results in several municipalities where the SNSD candidate won.

“We are guided by one principle, and that is dignity. Our assessment was that whoever the opposition candidate was in the snap election would receive up to 200,000 votes, which meant we needed 205,000—and we achieved that,” Dodik said.

Regarding the 2026 general elections and announced opposition candidacies for single-seat positions, Dodik said candidacies are submitted only in July next year, recalling the saying that “the rooster that crows early is always the first to end up in the pot.”

He added that the opposition constantly presents itself as an alternative, yet no one can work with anyone.

“How are you going to do anything when you are already divided and cannot agree on anything? Unless a third party gathers you and forces you, which will probably happen in the end,” Dodik said.

As for SNSD, Dodik said he currently knows who the candidate for president of Republika Srpska will be.

“But everything has its time. Just as there is a natural process, there is also a political process. I would not reveal now why I feel relaxed,” Dodik said.

He noted that SNSD has made some mistakes, but not when it comes to strategic goals—security, preservation of Republika Srpska, peace, and finances.

Dodik reiterated that no one wanted the snap election for president of Republika Srpska, that it was imposed, and that it came after an imposed injustice.

“Some foreigners, especially the Germans, want to preserve the filth created by Christian Schmidt. I do not accept that,” Dodik said.

He added that his problem with Germany began when he refused the request of the German ambassador to provide conditions for the construction of a monument on Kozara to Germans killed in the Second World War.

“From then on, relations with Germany deteriorated,” Dodik said.
