Member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU) Kosta Čavoški stated, regarding today’s session of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) which is set to decide on the appeal of President Milorad Dodik, that Serbs in BiH should neither expect anything positive from that court nor address it.
Čavoški emphasized that Serbs should not recognize any of the constitutional institutions of BiH, as they mostly operate under the influence of foreign actors and the orders of the illegitimate High Representative Christian Schmidt, appointed by the self-proclaimed Peace Implementation Council.
“That foreigner, Schmidt, appointed by the Council, has no legitimacy whatsoever,” Čavoški said.
He noted that while agreements between President Milorad Dodik and the Americans may have positive aspects, political consistency must always be maintained.
“Either Dodik stands against the institutions of BiH that were established contrary to the Dayton Agreement, or he recognizes only the institutions of Republika Srpska — nothing more,” Čavoški stressed in a statement to Srna.
The Constitutional Court of BiH has scheduled an extraordinary session for tomorrow, during which it is expected to decide on the merits of President Milorad Dodik’s appeal against the verdict of the Court of BiH, which sentenced him to one year in prison and six years of disqualification from political office for “non-compliance with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.”
