The Eagles women’s basketball team will host Belgrade’s Partizan tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the second round of the WABA League.
Head coach Ivan Simić said that all players will be ready for the upcoming match.
“We expect a tough game against a team that has further strengthened this season. Partizan won against Zagreb in the first round, while we lost away to Montana. We’re preparing well and training hard, and I believe that with maximum focus we can secure points in the regional competition. Our goal remains the same – to reach the top four teams in the league,” said Simić.
Team captain Hana Predojević noted that several players have stayed with the club from last season.
“The new girls have fit in very well. We expect a challenging match, but I believe we can achieve a positive result. I would also like to invite fans to come to the Obilićevo Sports Hall and support us, as the game will have a humanitarian character. Our club wants to help raise funds for the treatment of little Dušan Pavićar in Turkey,” Predojević said.
Ana Pavlović, now in her third season with Orlovi, added:
“I’m getting more playing time and greater responsibility, especially since I play as a point guard. Partizan is a strong opponent, but I believe that with organized play and a serious approach, we can win,” she said.
