The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, together with Minister of the Interior Željko Budimir, met today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Kalabukhov.
The meeting focused on the current political and economic situation in Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between Republika Srpska and Russia across various sectors.
Prime Minister Minić emphasized that the partnership between Republika Srpska and Russia is founded on friendly relations and mutual respect, expressing the Government’s desire to further enhance cooperation with Russian partners, given the many existing opportunities.
He highlighted that Republika Srpska is a reliable partner, expressing gratitude to the Russian Federation for its continued support to the Serb people.
The interlocutors particularly underlined the importance of constructing the Russian-Serb Temple in Banja Luka, noting that work is progressing according to plan. They emphasized that the Temple will serve as a symbol of spiritual unity between the Serb and Russian peoples.
Ambassador Kalabukhov congratulated Prime Minister Minić on his appointment as head of the Government of Republika Srpska and wished him great success in his work. He reiterated that the Russian Federation remains open to all forms of cooperation with Republika Srpska.
