At the Kozara Museum in Prijedor, the exhibition “The power, strength of nature and stone” by visual artist and sculptor Matija Radović has been opened. The exhibition features sculptures made of stone, a material that symbolizes endurance and strength.
In dialogue with stone, man is freed from the fear of transience, because stone is a symbol of eternity. As a raw material, stone possesses artistry in its structure and color.
“This is, so to say, my international exhibition which shows the merging of our inseparable regions and landscapes. It is known, science has researched it, that if all life on the planet were to cease, nature would regenerate, buildings would decay, but stone—such as the pyramids in Egypt—would remain permanent,” emphasized Matija Radović, visual artist and sculptor.
Matija Radović graduated in sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje. He has been exhibiting since 2014, and this is his first time at the Kozara Museum.
“These are sculptures made of different types of stone, and this is also the second sculpture exhibition of this exhibition season at the Kozara Museum, as well as the last sculpture exhibition,” added the director of the Kozara Museum, Marina Ljubičić Bogunović.
The exhibition will remain open until October 17.
