The reason for BiH’s stagnation on its path toward Europe does not lie in Russia, but in the constant attempts of certain circles in Sarajevo to literally destroy their political opponents, to remove them from power by any unscrupulous means despite the overwhelming support of their voters, and to impose sanctions on their own fellow citizens from EU member states, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in BiH stated.
Responding to the remarks of Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, about the so-called “red phone” through which Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov allegedly gives instructions to Republika Srpska, the Embassy said that Konaković, through his Russophobic statements, is trying to shift the focus from his own problems at Russia’s expense.
“Moscow does not interfere in the process of BiH’s integration into the EU,” the Embassy stressed.
