Members of the Presidency Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić rejected the proposal to include on the agenda today the initiative of the Serb member Željka Cvijanović to nominate US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, submitted an initiative for the Presidency of BiH to nominate US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
In the explanation of the initiative, Cvijanović emphasized that during his second term, President Trump, through his diplomatic engagement and personal authority, achieved results that left a significant mark on international relations and greatly contributed to stabilizing numerous global crises.
“It is clear that President Trump’s diplomatic efforts have produced visible and tangible results in different parts of the world, from Europe and Africa to Asia and the Middle East. Through President Trump’s efforts, global security and safety have been significantly improved,” the initiative of the Serb member of the Presidency stated.
In line with this, Cvijanović expressed her belief that it was justified for the Presidency of BiH, at today’s 25th regular session, to consider this item on the agenda and make a decision on the official nomination of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
