“Republika Srpska will certainly come out of this even stronger and will stand behind the legitimate rights of its legitimately elected representatives, to defend its will and its determination to live in freedom,” said Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, today in Teslić.
She emphasized that Christian Schmidt imposed his frustration on BiH and led the entire country into a major crisis.
“It is important to discuss the protection of Republika Srpska’s institutions, because we are dealing with very delicate matters caused by Christian Schmidt, who introduced the whole country into great uncertainty and legal insecurity. It is unacceptable to attack a democratically elected president, behind whom stands the will of the people, and the will of the people always stands behind the elected president of the Republic, and our domestic institutions must express their stance on this,” Cvijanović said.
She added that she has always had great trust in the institutions of Republika Srpska, especially the National Assembly, which represents the will of the people.
“I believe in the institutions of Republika Srpska, I believe in the correct response from the people because what we are doing, we are doing because we have a mandate that came from the people, and that mandate did not come from any foreign address, nor from an unelected foreigner,” she emphasized.
