Exhibition of prints by Bojana Mihajlović opens in Novi Grad

An exhibition of prints titled “Records” by artist Bojana Mihajlović has opened in Novi Grad. Mihajlović, a participant in the Rakani Art Colony, stated that the works on display at the Gallery were created over the past three years.

Mirjana Drljača, curator of the Novi Grad Gallery, noted that the collaboration with Mihajlović has lasted for years and recalled that the artist’s first experiences in art education were in Novi Grad, where she taught visual arts at the “Sveti Sava” Elementary School.

Art theorist Daria Vujasin stated that the “Records” exhibition conquers space through the rhythms of the artist’s own creative movements.

Mihajlović earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in printmaking at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka. She is currently a professor at Banja Luka College.

She received the first prize for printmaking at the 17th International Biennial of Miniature Art in Gornji Milanovac in 2024, the Museum of Kozara Award for best print in 2010, and a special recognition for print at the 5th International Biennial of Works on Paper in Prijedor.

In 2024, she was awarded a diploma for outstanding creative achievements in the field of printmaking at the international graphics exhibition in Kharkiv.

The exhibition is organized as part of the Petrovdan Days marking the Municipality Day and will remain on view until July 31.
