Dodik: Sarajevo protects those who killed innocent Serbs in Podrinje and Birač

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that Sarajevo continues to protect the perpetrators who killed innocent people in this region, all in pursuit of a unitarist vision of Bosnia and Herzegovina—a vision they will never realize.

Speaking at the commemoration marking 33 years since the killing of 3,267 Serbs from Middle Podrinje and Birač, committed during the Defensive-Patriotic War by members of the so-called Army of BiH, Dodik emphasized:

“Many crimes are tied to Naser Orić, who has never been convicted for those monstrous murders. They were killing us for three years—3,267 Serbs lost their lives in these parts.”

He stated that attempts to break the Serb presence in the region date back to Benjamin Kállay’s era.

“Even today, criminals like Orić walk freely through these areas, satisfied that they killed without ever being held accountable. I’m proud of the ambassador of our brotherly Russia, Igor Kalabukhov, for standing here with us. We must not kill the victims a second time by forgetting them—that would be a tragedy,” Dodik added.

The President of Republika Srpska stressed that the Serb people will not seek revenge.

“Do not try to turn us into something we are not. Let us continue to live in our Republika Srpska, to build and live in peace. We must never give up on it. Bosnia and Herzegovina has no future—never did. Karadžić and Mladić, who led Republika Srpska through the hardest of times, had a vision of freedom. Today, they won’t even allow us to celebrate the Day of our Republic—but we will remain strong and stand firm in defense of our homeland,” Dodik said.
