President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik extended his congratulations to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on the occasion of U.S. Independence Day.
“It is my honor to congratulate you and the people of the United States of America on July 4th, the 249th Independence Day of the U.S. Your country has walked a historic and significant path since that day in 1776, when members of the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence,” Dodik stated.
Dodik emphasized that he has no doubt that, even in these times of hardship and challenges—both globally and domestically—the U.S. will find a way to overcome the situation and emerge even stronger, for the benefit of the entire world.
“Without your strength and strong leadership, none of the current global crises can be resolved. We all rely on your wisdom and leadership. As you know, the American and Serb peoples have nurtured a friendship for more than a century. During that time, with all its ups and downs, Serbs across the Western Balkans have always valued the freedom, strength, and independence of the United States, as well as the support it has provided,” Dodik said.
He added that it must not be forgotten that the United States is one of the creators and guarantors of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which ended the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“With my best wishes to you personally and to the entire people of the United States, allow me once again to express deep respect and extend my warmest congratulations on the most important holiday of the United States,” the message from the President of Republika Srpska concludes.
