Historian and theologian Goran Šarić stated that the Germans have brought nothing good to this region except bombs and genocide, emphasizing that the Ustaše came to power on their bayonets.
“The Germans could have stopped the genocide against the Serbs at any moment,” he said.
According to Šarić, the political persecution of an elected representative, as is the case with the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, perhaps has not been seen since the time when the Roman Empire stretched to the Rhine.
“On the other side of the Rhine, where the barbarians lived — where Christian Schmidt comes from — such things might have occurred,” Šarić noted.
He added that President Dodik was right in saying that Schmidt can only come here as a tourist.
“No one invited him or asked for him. Nowhere is such behavior foreseen. He has no legitimacy. Who approved him? The deep state?” Šarić asked.
He also questioned how it is possible for Croat representatives to be elected by Bosniaks.
“That doesn’t exist anywhere else. It is anti-civilizational and anti-democratic — it only happens under this high representative,” he stated.
Commenting on Dodik’s trial, Šarić said that Dodik “elegantly dismantled everything in court.”
“Dodik is not the only one — look at what happened to Le Pen, what they did in Romania… this behavior is widespread. Look at what they’re doing to AfD… Nothing good can be expected from Europe, but one must take a stance toward the European Union like Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán — the EU is simply there, you can’t go against them and you still can’t live without them, but be aware they don’t wish you well,” Šarić concluded.
