A charity art exhibition featuring works created during the open-air atelier “Dr Borislav Šokčević” has opened at the Gallery of the Homeland Museum in Gradiška. The proceeds from the sale of the artworks will be used to support various activities of the museum.
The paintings, created over the two days of the atelier, predominantly feature the recognizable motif of the town on the Sava River.
Bojan Vujčić, Director of the Homeland Museum Gradiška, emphasized that the open-air atelier was a unique opportunity for visitors to witness the creative process, engage with the artists, and enjoy art in a natural setting along the picturesque banks of the Sava.
Funds raised from the sale of the paintings will go toward continuing the restoration of monuments dedicated to prominent historical figures at the city cemetery in Gradiška.
The open-air atelier was the first event held as part of the “Gradiška Summer on the Sava 2025” program. The atelier is organized in memory of Dr Borislav Šokčević, a renowned humanitarian and artist.
