Šolaja: The key message of the Dayton Conference – Bosnia and Herzegovina must resolve its own issues

The key message from all participants at the Dayton Conference is that Bosnia and Herzegovina must resolve its own problems, said Bojan Šolaja from the Center for International and Security Studies during RTRS’s Morning Program.

He emphasized that the Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, delivered clear and concrete messages.

“Cvijanović presented the factual situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other two members of the Presidency focused on day-to-day political topics,” Šolaja stated.

He underlined that the essence is that Cvijanović’s speech aligns with the speeches of American officials.

“The most important part of her address is the call for internal dialogue, without international interventionism. The United States is also emphasizing dialogue within Bosnia and Herzegovina, without foreign interference,” Šolaja noted.

He stressed that dialogue is the only possible solution.

“The only problem is that Sarajevo doesn’t see it that way. Even the UN Security Council has called for an internal agreement within Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Šolaja concluded.
