The handball players of Borac will aim to win the Republika Srpska Cup for the sixth consecutive time (they currently hold nine titles in total). Standing in their way are the players of Derventa, who will play in the final of this prestigious competition for the first time. The match for the winner’s trophy is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in the Borik Sports Hall in Banjaluka.
In addition to the trophy and gold medals, the winning team will receive 4,000 KM, while the runner-up will earn 3,000 KM, which is an increase of 1,000 KM compared to previous years.
“We are truly proud of this competition, which is under the patronage of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, to whom I extend my gratitude for his great support,” said Marinko Umičević, President of the Handball Federation of Republika Srpska.
The final match between Borac and Derventa will be broadcast live via the Facebook page of the Handball Federation of Republika Srpska and on TV Simić.
The referees for the match will be Mirko Vujić and Dražen Kuzmić from Doboj, and the delegate will be Srđan Jović.
