Vujović: Republika Srpska’s ties with Russia are unbreakable

The ties between Republika Srpska and Russia have always been strong and unbreakable, said Veselin Vujović, a member of the SDS in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, who attended the international forum “Great Heritage – Common Future” held in Volgograd, Russia.

The forum, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II, was officially opened by the Presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko.

“Bileća, my hometown, is a positive example of maintaining ties with our brothers and sisters in Russia. It will remain so in the future, as this kind of obligation and duty is passed on to younger generations,” Vujović stated.

Delegations, including parliamentarians from Republika Srpska, also participated in the wreath-laying ceremony at Mamayev Kurgan and visited the historical memorial complex dedicated to the “Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad.”

“I am especially honored to be able to extend my congratulations for Victory Day over fascism from Mamayev Kurgan,” Vujović said.

The SDS announced that the delegations also took part in the “Light of the Great Victory” event and the lighting of the Eternal Flame at the Alley of Heroes.
