Sara Ćirković wins professional world champion title

The current senior and youth European boxing champion, Sara Ćirković, last night claimed the professional world title by defeating Frenchwoman Roman Mule in Banja Luka.

The main event between Ćirković and Mule was held over 10 rounds of two minutes each, in the 53.5-kilogram category, for the belt of the professional IBA women’s world champion.

“I am very happy. The match was tough, but it ended in my favor. As much as I gave in the ring, the audience outside the ring gave just as much, thank you all very much,” Ćirković said after the match.

Sara Ćirković’s coach, Mirko Ždralo, emphasized that this victory is very important both for Republika Srpska and for Serbia, highlighting that the audience in Banja Luka showed great support tonight.

“We had tremendous wind at our backs. I am more than satisfied. We are moving forward. We want to reach Olympic gold,” said Ždralo.

The president of the Boxing Association of Serbia, Nenad Borovčanin, said that Sara Ćirković made every Serb proud tonight, both in Republika Srpska, in Serbia, and around the world.

“Sara said everything in the ring. She created an amazing atmosphere in the arena,” Borovčanin emphasized.

The boxing spectacle at the “Borik” sports hall was attended by the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

At the “Borik” arena, in a magnificent spectacle in front of a large audience, the I-BE-A “Night of Champions” event was held.

The great professional boxing spectacle of the International Boxing Association “Night of Champions” gathered 16 male boxers and two female boxers.
