At the National Library in Trebinje, the book “Blagoje Jovović – A Serb Hero in the Wolf’s Lair” was officially presented. This is the second volume in the story of Blagoje Jovović, the man who carried out an assassination attempt on Ante Pavelić, written by his daughter Marija Jovović.
The book, chronicling the life of Blagoje Jovović—who in 1957 carried out an attack on one of the greatest war criminals of the Second World War in Argentina—now has its sequel, presented to the Trebinje audience by the author herself.

In this continuation of her father’s biography, Marija focuses on the very period of the assassination attempt on Ante Pavelić, the leader of the Ustaša regime responsible for the genocide of Serbs, Jews, and Roma during World War II.
“I spent five years gathering material for this second part; the archive is quite extensive,” said Jovović.
Božo Morić, who moderated the promotion event, emphasized that this volume builds upon the story presented in the first part, which had also previously been introduced to the Trebinje audience.
Given the large volume of documentation collected over the past five years, it is likely that this two-part saga on Blagoje Jovović’s life will eventually grow into a trilogy.
