Three matches of the 27th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina are scheduled for today. Sloga will host Zrinjski, Široki Brijeg will take on GOŠK, and the round will close with a derby at Grbavica Stadium between Željezničar and Borac.
Borac, currently top of the table, continues its Sarajevo series — having already faced FK Sarajevo three times in April, they now meet Željezničar in a clash that has always meant more than just football.
Mladen Žižović’s squad is well aware of the weight this game carries — both in terms of points and prestige. Their opponent, Željezničar, is coming off a heavy 5-0 loss to Zrinjski in the previous round. That defeat prompted head coach Denis Ćorić to offer his resignation, which was not accepted by the club.
Kick-off for the Željezničar – Borac derby is at 20:45.
Earlier in the day, Sloga will host Zrinjski, Borac’s main rival in the title race. Sloga sits in fifth place with 41 points and is comfortably safe from relegation. This match could have a major impact on the title fight.
