The WABA League competition continues, with Eagles hosting Belgrade’s Partizan in the 14th round in Banja Luka.
Both teams suffered defeats in the previous round of the regional competition, with Partizan also losing to Spartak Subotica in the Serbian championship.
The home team will play with a shortened roster due to a stomach virus, but they remain determined to give their all and aim for victory in this matchup.
Coach Jovan Simić, who joined Eagles after their away defeat to Partizan, is optimistic about his team’s chances.
“They play aggressively on both ends of the court. They have a strong team, and it won’t be easy for us. Still, I believe that with maximum effort, we can secure the points,” said Simić.
Eagles point guard, Danijela Mitrović, called on fans to come to the “Obilićevo” Sports Hall to support the team.
“The crowd means a lot to us; they are our sixth player. We need to regroup, respond to their aggressive play, and then we’ll see what results that brings us,” said Mitrović.
The game between Eagles and Partizan is scheduled for tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the “Obilićevo” Sports Hall in Banja Luka.
