Anti-Dayton measures against Srpska must end

Anti-Dayton measures against Srpska must end

The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, commented on the BiH Prosecutor’s Office request to obtain the minutes from the Collegium of the National Assembly of Srpska, stating that no one has the right to interfere in the work of any legislative body. He emphasized that anti-Dayton measures against Srpska must come to an end.

Višković stressed that today’s session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will elaborate on all the anti-Dayton measures that have been taken against Srpska so far.

He stated that it is almost unprecedented and unacceptable for someone from the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to dare to address a legitimate legislative body, in this case, Republika Srpska.

  • “It is clear what this is about. A request was sent asking for information about what is being prepared in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, demanding materials that were then quickly published on certain portals in the Federation of BiH. The Prosecutor’s Office allegedly wants to know what the Assembly is working on, even though they have no right to request such information. in reality, they requested this information to leak it to their media,” said Višković.

He pointed out that BiH is sinking deeper each day, as are its so-called joint institutions, while Sarajevo has been acting maliciously toward Republika Srpska for a long time.

  • “They in Sarajevo enjoy the support of foreign embassies. this is well known, and we all know who they are. under the guise of that support, they believe they can achieve wartime goals 30 years after the end of the unfortunate conflict in BiH. dayton, no matter how much some dispute it, brought an end to hostilities and peace—that is its greatest achievement. for a good period after dayton, we lived in relatively better relations than we have today. later, some people came up with the idea, with the help of foreigners, to attack Republika Srpska through sanctions, pressures, bans, the use of the OHR office, the illegal high representative, the BiH constitutional court, the BiH court, the prosecutor’s office, and certain embassy representatives in Sarajevo. they think they can achieve the goals they failed to achieve in 1992—to create a unitary BiH dominated by the Bosniak people,” Višković stated.

He emphasized that, based on the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutions of Republika Srpska and BiH, Srpska cannot allow this.

  • “We are one of two entities, one of three nations in BiH, and we will not give that up at any cost. i see the role of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska in defending our constitutional rights, but this is immediately interpreted as a push for secession. they think they have the right to abolish Republika Srpska and merge it into a unitary BiH. but if Srpska resists, it is labeled as secession. gentlemen, you are pushing us toward secession. i have said this a million times—if anyone wants to dismantle BiH, it is Sarajevo’s politics supported by foreign embassies,” Višković emphasized.

He added that if Sarajevo truly wanted a Dayton BiH, it would respect the existence of two entities and three constituent peoples, making decisions through agreements and compromises among all three groups.

  • “Instead, they believe they are entitled to everything because they have foreign backing, while when we oppose it, we are accused of secession. you will never achieve a unitary BiH. the Serb people will never be forced into the same position that caused the civil war. the war started precisely because of these circumstances that Sarajevo’s politics are trying to create again today, with the support of mentors who have no sincere intention of making BiH a functional state, a member of the EU, or a place of peace and prosperity. they thrive in chaos,” Višković said.

He noted that Srpska is defending itself through legal means and will not give up, while others attempt to degrade it by force.

Višković emphasized that both international and domestic laws have been violated, with unlawful, violent, and even criminal attacks being carried out against Srpska.

  • “When Srpska defends itself in a constitutional and legal manner through the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, this is labeled as illegal or secessionist,” Višković said.

He stressed that the National Assembly is sending a warning today to BiH authorities, the Federation of BiH, and foreign ambassadors—urging them to stop mistreating the Serb people and Republika Srpska.

Višković concluded that BiH is no longer even a protectorate, as the powers that Christian Schmidt and the OHR office are trying to seize have never been seen before.

  • “Someone is trying to claim they are the law, the president, the parliament, and everything else, while we are treated as nothing,” Višković said.
