Republika Srpska records tourism milestones

Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska, Denis Šulić, stated in an interview with RTRS that Republika Srpska has set new records in tourism, reporting 45,000 more overnight stays compared to the previous year.

  • “My goal during this four-year mandate as minister is to reduce the gray economy and implement specific measures that will enhance our tourism offerings,” Šulić emphasized.

He expressed satisfaction with the start of the winter season on Jahorina, predicting it will be successful given the snowfall and numerous amenities provided by the Olympic Center.

“In the first few weeks of this winter season, we’ve seen more snow than throughout the entire last year, which gives us hope for a successful season,” said Šulić.

Regarding the situation in Banja Luka, particularly the disruptions caused by Mayor Draško Stanivuković, including the shutdown of public lighting, Šulić expressed hope that these issues will not significantly impact tourism. He stressed the importance of preserving the city’s image.

  • “We must create complete comfort for our visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and are eager to return to Banja Luka,” he concluded.
