The end of December brings true winter magic to Višegrad through the event “Višegrad Winter Days,” which will take place on December 29 and 30.
This two-day event offers a rich and diverse program designed to provide a festive atmosphere for children and all visitors to the city.
The event will be officially opened by children from the “Neven” kindergarten, with performances by students from the “Vuk Karadžić” Elementary School, “Ivo Andrić” High School, residents of the Home for Persons with Disabilities, and numerous vocal soloists. Adding to the holiday spirit will be fairy tale characters, cartoon heroes, and, of course, Santa Clauses.
According to Jovana Borovčanin Đurević from the organizing committee, this year’s event introduces a new feature: mobile playrooms in Andrićgrad.
“The youngest visitors will enjoy Barbie castles, Paw Patrol castles, and many other surprises,” said Borovčanin Đurević, emphasizing the goal of creating a holiday fairy tale for all generations.
The event begins on December 29 at 5:00 PM, with a ceremonial opening by the mayor of Višegrad, Mladen Đurević. The first day will feature performances by children from kindergartens, competitive games with Lion Aleksa, and fun activities with Super Mario and the Paw Patrol. The musical portion of the program will be led by professors from the Music Academy in East Sarajevo and Mirna Karabatak.
“Višegrad Winter Days” offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy a magical holiday atmosphere, making Višegrad an unmissable destination to end the year.
