Many expected that Republika Srpska would lack the strength and capacity to handle all its challenges, but with this event, it has shown that it has its own path and direction. No sanctions or events will slow its development, said Radovan Višković, Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, at the opening of the Invest Srpska 2024 forum.
“It is an honor for us to have representatives from 29 countries worldwide here in Jahorina. This is a great recognition for Republika Srpska and its institutions. We are joined by numerous entrepreneurs, companies, and representatives from municipalities and cities, and together, we will outline the next steps for the advancement of Republika Srpska,” Višković stated.
He also discussed the growth of investments in Srpska over the past few years.
“In 2022, investments in Republika Srpska were below 400 million KM, in 2023 they exceeded one billion, and in 2024 they surpassed four billion marks. Events like this forum on Jahorina have contributed to that,” Višković added.
Višković highlighted that Srpska is among the top ten investment destinations.
“In every crisis, there is an opportunity. Europe is facing a crisis today, which we regret, but we want to believe that if certain industries face difficulties, we see our chance, as we are on the EU’s doorstep. I invite all companies to come and invest in Srpska. Together, we can benefit, and this will make Srpska’s business environment even better,” Višković emphasized.
Višković underlined that Republika Srpska will preserve its energy sovereignty and find ways to respond to all pressures.
“For everyone at this conference interested in investing in Republika Srpska, we are ready to negotiate electricity prices with a five-year price guarantee if the investment brings above-average wages and new technologies. We will make a decision to offer this important investor special benefits concerning electricity prices,” Višković concluded.
