Višković: Rebalancing and new budget by year-end

The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, announced that the budget is stable, with all obligations being met regularly. He confirmed that by the end of the year, a rebalancing of the 2024 budget, along with the 2025 budget and economic policy, will be adopted.

“The rebalancing proposal, which will go to the National Assembly in mid-November, includes an increase in this year’s budget. This demonstrates the good state of the budget and the government’s commitment to meeting its obligations,” said Višković.

He noted that recent media speculations and expert predictions of economic collapse have proven false.

“In the first half of December, we’ll likely discuss the budget and economic policy for 2025 in the National Assembly,” Višković emphasized.

Višković added that the government has been consistently fulfilling all obligations on time, which has led to a public expectation of prompt payments. Minor delays are often overstated.

“We pay our obligations regularly, sometimes even ahead of schedule. This is why some rumors about payment delays arise, as seen with the construction of the monument to the fallen soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, for which the government has allocated significant funds,” he explained.

Višković clarified that the government contributed around three million BAM via grants, even though these funds weren’t initially included in the budget.

“Mayor Draško Stanivuković is misrepresenting the facts and misleading the public, claiming that the government hasn’t funded or participated in the monument’s construction,” Višković added.

By providing this financial support, the government demonstrates responsibility towards the fallen soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska and the sacrifices they made.

“These were people who gave everything for Republika Srpska. We have an obligation to honor them, and we want this monument to serve as a place of respect for future generations,” concluded Višković.
