Dodik: Srpska endures despite the hybrid war being waged against her

Republika Srpska continues to find ways to endure despite the hybrid war being waged against her, and this is not a matter of anyone’s will, said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, on our show “Telering.”

“This is not a matter of anyone’s will. My team and I are working to secure the solid foundations of Srpska, and we have succeeded in that. Despite all the schemes coming from outside, our system is functioning. The financial system was once completely dysfunctional,” Dodik stated.

He added that Srpska is demonstrating continuous economic growth.

“Srpska shows the ability to survive and manage on our own, which is a problem for some,” Dodik added.

He pointed out that, under constant challenges and pressure for Republika Srpska to accept things not outlined in the Dayton Agreement and transfer its powers, Srpska has built its economic, social, and fiscal system even without a central bank.

“We have built a system with stable growth. Few countries around us have as low a debt ratio as Srpska. The total debt of all companies, institutions, and municipalities, i.e., Srpska, is 37 percent, and the public debt is 32 percent. There’s no lower debt ratio in the region. The Federation of BiH does not provide adequate data on its indebtedness to create an illusion,” Dodik noted.

Dodik emphasized that the Republic of Srpska’s original revenues service all obligations.

“We have to consider alternatives, but the Federation sees that as a message of secession. They think we have to endure everything, but we don’t. You can’t love something that harms you,” Dodik emphasized.

He pointed out that this is precisely why Srpska has been completely internationally isolated.

Regarding Srpska’s political activities, Dodik stated that until today, no one stood with Republika Srpska, but now Srpska has friends it can always turn to.

“Srpska will never break apart despite the pressures. We have been through worse,” Dodik reminded.

Dodik added that there is a continuous plan against Srpska, which Srpska has stood up against.

“We are not lovers of BiH. Who do the Bosniaks provide security for? Give us the original Dayton Agreement, let us not deal with the issue of the constitutional system. We, who witnessed the breakup of Yugoslavia, carry our burdens because Yugoslavia was impossible, which is why it fell apart. So why are you pushing the concept of unitarization on us? You want to manage resources only at the level of Sarajevo,” Dodik added.
