An increasing number of countries are in line to join BRICS, said Dr. Siniša Pepić, an expert in economic diplomacy, on RTRS morning program.
He emphasized that the goal of BRICS is a multipolar world.
“It matters whether the world will be unipolar or multipolar. More and more countries are aligning with multipolarity. To protect themselves from pressures from those advocating unipolarity, they see protection in BRICS,” Pepić stated.
He highlighted the clear distinction between the European Union and BRICS.
“The European Union is market-oriented. BRICS is oriented towards development and economic growth,” said Pepić.
He noted that small countries need growth and development.
“We now have a vacuum between two orders. We have a unipolar world led by the USA and multinational companies. And we have BRICS, which views the world in a multipolar way,” concluded Pepić.
