President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today in Belgrade with President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.
The key topic of discussion was the relationship between the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska and the reaction of the entire Serb people to the adoption of the resolution on Srebrenica by the United Nations General Assembly.
- I informed President Dodik about the efforts that the Republic of Serbia is undertaking to protect the vital national interests of the Serb people, as well as international public law, reiterating that the adoption of such a resolution would mean opening Pandora’s box for the future while reopening countless wounds from the past – Vučić wrote on his Instagram account.
At the same time, added Vučić, President Dodik informed me about the talks he had in Budapest with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and the further prospects for the development of relations between Serbia and Srpska.
- Dodik warned me that the adoption of the resolution on genocide in Srebrenica would have catastrophic consequences on the relations within BiH – Vučić stated.
A special topic of conversation was the upcoming Assembly of the Serb People scheduled for June 8 in Belgrade, for which numerous joint activities, the signing of memorandums and agreements, as well as events confirming the unity of the people and their right to preserve their homes, remain their own, and protect the right to the future of coming generations, were agreed upon.
- The Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska will, on May 23 this year, jointly and unitedly, fight for the truth, pride, and dignity of the Serbian people – said Vučić.
