The antics staged by Bosnian Muslims regarding the membership of self-proclaimed Kosovo* in the Council of Europe will ultimately backfire only on Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
On his X account, Dodik posted that the renegade structures of Bosnian Muslims have long stepped out of constitutional bounds and deviated from everything that Dayton’s Bosnia and Herzegovina represents.
“Perhaps Komšić thinks he has succeeded in achieving something by remaining neutral, but this fundamentally changes nothing, except that it sends a clear message to us in Republika Srpska that everything we are doing to preserve our constitutional position is correct and the only possibility in conditions of constant undermining and attempts to dismantle Republika Srpska and bypassing in the decision-making process through unilateral action,” states Dodik.
All their actions and hypocrisy regarding so-called Kosovo, Dodik says, open new perspectives for Republika Srpska, so it’s no longer unusual to say and expect that Republika Srpska might do the same.
“The mechanisms for this exist. We have already separated, in everything. It is necessary to formalize our peaceful separation, which the Bosnian Muslims have initiated with their unilateral moves and the destruction of the constitutional order. It would be best for everyone living in Bosnia and Herzegovina to start institutional discussions on separation, because a peaceful separation is a fact and everything should be done to ensure stability and cooperation in a possible way,” says Dodik.
“We cannot be in a community with those who constantly see us as enemies,” says Dodik, adding that they are doing everything to strengthen hostility and hatred towards the Serbian people.
“This is not natural. Such a community cannot survive and that is why it is disintegrating,” emphasized Dodik.
