The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Sinisa Karan, stated that Christian Schmidt is the biggest threat to security in BiH and that neither he nor the OHR have the right to enact laws, and such actions will distance BiH from the EU, as well as from the concept of a sovereign country.
Karan emphasized that laws at the BiH level can only be enacted by the Parliamentary Assembly with the consensus of both Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH.
“BiH cannot join the EU without Republika Srpska. Then you have a high representative who, for all these years, or Schmidt, who is nobody and nothing, destroys the Dayton structure,” said Karan.
He stated that the Constitutional Court of BiH, apart from Schmidt, bears the most responsibility for the situation in BiH, as it cannot function without Serb judges.
“The day they walked out, they became unconstitutional and began destroying this country. There is no worse than Schmidt, except for the Constitutional Court of BiH. The Constitution does not mention a high representative, and the high representative cannot enact laws. Just by stating that, they would have saved BiH. These are the two destroyers of BiH,” Karan said.
