The Integrated Health Information System (IZIS) has been attacked by hackers, and its operation is currently disabled, the Health Insurance Fund of Republika Srpska announced late last night.
The professional services of the Health Insurance Fund of Republika Srpska, along with partners implementing IZIS in practice, have been working throughout the day to resolve this issue. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, specifically the Criminal Police Directorate, High-Tech Crime Unit, has also been informed about the cyberattack. We are unsure of the attack’s objective, but our professional services are doing everything to restore the system’s functionality,” stated the Fund.
Healthcare facilities can admit patients even without an electronic health card and utilize data from the Business Information System.
