“The Veterans’ Organization of Republika Srpska has stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina seems to be the only country in the world where freedom of opinion and speech is restricted and penalized. They assert that federal political circles and officials are bothered by everything Serb – be it former or current presidents of Republika Srpska, the right of the Serb people to their opinions, or the existence of Republika Srpska.
This is evident in the criminal complaint filed by the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramo Isak, against the Mayor of Sokolac, Milovan Bjelica, as highlighted by BORS. They emphasized that their organization stands with the republic’s institutions, every elected official, and mayors and leaders of all municipalities and cities in Republika Srpska, including Milovan Bjelica from Sokolac, who has made a significant contribution to the establishment of Republika Srpska.
The statement by BORS clarified that when Milovan Bjelica spoke about the presidents of Republika Srpska, including Radovan Karadžić, he was addressing historical facts that the Serb people and the Veterans’ Organization are not ashamed of.
They questioned why Ramo Isak, if so committed to fighting the alleged truth, did not report to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH or, as the Federal Minister of Police, sanction the daily gatherings in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina where the so-called Army of BiH is glorified and offensive messages are directed towards Serbs.”
