Kojić: Paradžemati – a serious security threat.

Member of the Joint Committee for Oversight of the Work of the Intelligence-Security Agency (ISA) of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Kojić, considers the presence of paradzematites closely associated with the terrorist group “Islamic State” worrisome, as they pose a significant potential security threat in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Kojić stated to journalists in Banja Luka that all security agencies in BiH are aware of the existence of radical Islamist groups. Referring to a report he read, he mentioned that Italian intelligence indicated the presence of 20 different locations in BiH where paradzematites associated with the “Islamic State” are situated.

He believes that these paradzematites present a potential security threat and emphasizes the need to address this issue, not to cause public alarm but to draw attention to the problem.

Kojić recalled the establishment of certain border controls when the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began. He highlighted that border controls were set up between Croatia and Slovenia in the Schengen area due to the danger posed by radical extremist movements and groups.

A joint meeting of parliamentary working bodies in the field of security was held today in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, assessing that the security situation in BiH is at a satisfactory level. Representatives from the Joint Committee for Defense and Security, Joint Committee for Oversight of the Work of the Intelligence-Security Agency (ISA) of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, as well as the security committee of the House of Representatives and House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, attended the meeting hosted by the Security Committee of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
