Milorad Dodik extended what he described as sincere and brotherly congratulations to United Russia and its chairman Dmitry Medvedev on the party’s election result, as well as to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The Serb and Russian peoples are connected not only by politics and diplomacy, but by centuries of shared history, faith, culture and a sense of brotherhood that has endured even the most difficult times. That is why every new meeting and every step that contributes to strengthening our ties is regarded with special attention and emotion,” Dodik said.
He wished the Russian people peace, strength and prosperity, while extending wishes for success, good health and personal happiness to President Putin, Medvedev and the Russian leadership.
Dodik also expressed hope that relations between the Serb and Russian peoples would continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
“May the friendship between the Serb and Russian peoples remain strong, sincere and lasting,” Dodik wrote on X.
United Russia won what was described as a record number of State Duma seats in the party’s history of participating in Russian elections.
