The Croatian National Council of BiH has expressed support for a proposal by Austrian activist Günther Fehlinger to abolish the existing entities and reorganize BiH as a federation of ten cantons.
Reacting to the proposal, Milorad Dodik said that those advocating such changes should focus on the ten cantons that already exist within the Federation of BiH and leave Republika Srpska out of their plans.
“The Croatian National Council of BiH says it supports the proposal of some Austrian, Günther Fehlinger, to establish ten cantons in BiH and abolish the entities. Gentlemen, you already have ten cantons, so reorganize them as much as you want, but leave Republika Srpska alone,” Dodik said.
“You have no say in Republika Srpska. Nobody is interested in your worn-out phrases, and nobody finds your ignorance appealing. As long as it is not accepted that Republika Srpska is a political reality and a permanent category, and as long as you refuse to acknowledge that agreement rather than imposition is the foundation of functionality, BiH will remain an impossible state in free fall,” Dodik wrote on X.
