The leadership of Republika Srpska and its energy sector are preparing a new contract with the Russian company Gazprom on the supply of natural gas, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Legal documents covering the next period are currently being prepared. We remain committed to our earlier plans for cooperation with Gazprom. We believe this is the only realistic and most favorable solution for us, and that is how we will proceed. We thank the Russian side, which has been very attentive and fair toward us in the previous period,” Dodik said.
Gazprom had previously announced that the company’s CEO Alexey Miller and SNSD President Milorad Dodik, during a meeting on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, reached an agreement to extend the contract on the supply of Russian natural gas.
