The exhibition titled “Unwritten Chapters” by academic painter Miloš Vujić was officially opened in the Grand Exhibition Hall of Banski Dvor Cultural Center in Banja Luka.
Vujić holds a doctorate in arts and is an author well known to both domestic and international audiences through numerous solo and group exhibitions.
A fusion of literature and visual art
Art historian Siniša Vidaković spoke about the significance of the exhibition, highlighting the unique connection between the written word and visual expression. According to him, the title itself carries deep symbolism.
“An unwritten chapter becomes a link between literature and visual arts,” Vidaković said, explaining how Vujić successfully creates a space where inner states, phantasmagoria, and precise artistic articulation meet.
The exhibition was officially opened by Banski Dvor director Mladen Matović, while the author also briefly addressed the audience, emphasizing the personal importance of this cycle.
A visual narrative on canvas
The Banja Luka audience has the opportunity to view a cycle of 30 oil paintings on canvas, created between 2020 and 2023. The exhibition presents a layered and thoughtful expression, skillfully blending figurative and imaginary elements.
Through the displayed works, the artist builds a powerful visual narrative that does not offer final answers but instead invites viewers to interpret and engage in an intimate inner dialogue with each painting. Each canvas represents a distinct stage in the exploration of visual art, making this exhibition one of the more significant cultural events of the current season.
