Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović said she had an excellent and constructive meeting at the White House with Charles McLaughlin, Special Assistant to President Donald Trump and Senior Director for Europe and Russia at the United States National Security Council.
“During the meeting, I informed my interlocutor about the current political and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region,” Cvijanović said.
She added that she expressed satisfaction with the commitment of President Trump’s administration to intensifying economic ties, as well as its contribution to stabilizing political and security conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I emphasized that we highly value the balanced approach of the United States toward both entities and all three constituent peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I expressed full commitment to preserving peace and stability, as well as the constitutional structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Cvijanović stated in a post on social media.
The meeting was also attended by Serb delegate to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Radovan Kovačević.
