The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, met today in Banja Luka with Juma Madani, owner of the Dubai-based company Al Matia Investment Group.
During the meeting, they discussed the continuation of cooperation and the organization of a business forum between Republika Srpska and the United Arab Emirates, which is planned to be held this year in Banja Luka, with the participation of companies from Dubai and the UAE.
The forum would present projects in the fields of infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and tourism, for which investors from the UAE have already expressed interest, the Government of Republika Srpska announced.
In June last year, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of Republika Srpska and Al Matia Investment Group during a business forum in Dubai, organized by the company with the support of the Government of Dubai, where Republika Srpska was the guest of honor.
The memorandum expressed interest in cooperation on identifying, preparing, and implementing investment projects in Republika Srpska in the areas of trade, industrial production, agriculture, water management, tourism, healthcare, and education.
Minić emphasized that Republika Srpska offers numerous investment opportunities, is committed to strengthening economic cooperation with partners from the United Arab Emirates, and that the Government will provide maximum support for the realization of these projects.
