Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić met in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Katrin Bjerning, to discuss the improvement of bilateral cooperation and current political and economic processes.
Minić expressed the Government of Republika Srpska’s commitment to enhancing economic and business cooperation with Norway in all areas of mutual interest and pointed to the need to intensify this cooperation in the coming period.
Speaking about the current political and economic situation, the Prime Minister reiterated the position that consistent respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement represents the only sustainable framework for the functioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of Republika Srpska announced.
He particularly emphasized the importance of internal dialogue and reaching agreements on basic issues between Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to ensure stability and further development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Republika Srpska remains committed to the European path and open to constructive cooperation with all European Union countries and partner states such as Norway,” Minić stressed.
Ambassador Katrin Bjerning emphasized the sincere desire of the Kingdom of Norway for the further development and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed her country’s readiness to provide maximum support and expert assistance on the path toward European integration.
