Exports from Republika Srpska up by 6.1 percent

Republika Srpska recorded exports worth KM 5.354 billion in 2025, which is 6.1 percent more than in the January–December period of the previous year, the Republic Institute of Statistics announced.

During the same period, imports amounted to KM 7.628 billion, an increase of 3.9 percent compared to 2024, while the export–import coverage ratio stood at 70.2 percent.

In December 2025, exports reached KM 456 million, up 9.5 percent compared to December 2024, while imports totaled KM 678 million, an increase of 8.1 percent compared to the same month a year earlier. The export–import coverage ratio in December was 67.3 percent.

The largest share of exports went to Croatia, amounting to KM 943 million or 17.6 percent, followed by Serbia with KM 936 million, or 17.5 percent.

Seasonally adjusted industrial production in Republika Srpska in December 2025 was 13.6 percent higher compared to November, while calendar-adjusted industrial production in December 2025 was 7.5 percent higher than in December of the previous year.

However, calendar-adjusted industrial production for the January–December 2025 period, compared to the same period in 2024, was 4.5 percent lower.

The statement also notes that the number of employees in industry in December 2025 was 0.1 percent lower compared to November 2025. Compared to the 2024 annual average, industrial employment in December 2025 was 4.3 percent lower, and 2.8 percent lower compared to December of the previous year.
