The Serb Orthodox Church and its believers today mark the Feast of the Circumcision of the Lord, as well as the feast of Saint Basil the Great, one of the most important Church Fathers in Christian history.
The Circumcision of Jesus Christ, observed on the eighth day after His birth, is one of the major Christian holidays.
In the traditional calendar, the day is also known as Little Christmas, as Christmas rituals are repeated in many regions.
