The threatening email states that “an explosive has been planted on school grounds” and demands money in order to avoid an explosion.
According to information obtained by Provjereno, the email claims that an explosive device has been placed on school premises and that payment is required to prevent it from being detonated.
The message goes on to say: “We are true Muslims, warriors of the Islamic State, and we do not approve of the pressure and influence of European states in Bosnia. We want all European leaders to have their throats slit and their families burned. Our goal is to establish a caliphate in Europe.”
Early this morning, multiple schools received threatening emails claiming that bombs had been planted inside school buildings. Almost all schools in Banja Luka received the message, as well as schools across Republika Srpska, from Novi Grad to Trebinje, Miroslav Popržen, president of the Association of Primary School Principals of the Banja Luka region, told Provjereno.
He said that school principals acted in full accordance with prescribed procedures and that no one is allowed to remain in school buildings until bomb disposal teams complete inspections.
He added that teachers will keep parents informed about further developments.
