Young authors Mirjana Sušić and Jovana Čebo present their work to Višegrad audience

At a literary evening held at the “Ivo Andrić” Cultural Centre in Višegrad, the audience had the opportunity to discover the work of two young authors — Mirjana Sušić from Vlasenica and Jovana Čebo from Mali Zvornik — through the presentation of four of their novels. This was the first time the Višegrad readership was introduced to these writers and their literary achievements.

Mirjana Sušić presented her novels “Krvava čestitka” (“A Bloody Greeting”) and “Proljeće kada je umrla Viktorija” (“The Spring When Victoria Died”).

While “Krvava čestitka” explores the timeless struggle between good and evil, “Proljeće kada je umrla Viktorija” is a stream-of-consciousness narrative that delves into the most difficult battles a person fights within themselves.

Jovana Čebo introduced her novels “Ožiljci na duši” (“Scars on the Soul”) and “Kazni ga zaboravom” (“Punish Him with Forgetfulness”).

Both Mirjana and Jovana are emerging authors whose published works have already been well received and sparked notable interest among readers, the organizers said.

The event was organized by the Višegrad Public Library and the “Ivo Andrić” Cultural Centre.
