Book “We Remember – The Genocide Against the Serb People in the NDH” presented in Banja Luka

An extraordinary testimony to the genocide committed against Serbs in the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) — including mass execution sites, the Jasenovac concentration camp, and camps for children — the book “We Remember – The Genocide Against the Serb People in the NDH” by author Mira Lolić Močević was presented at the Council Hall of the Banski Dvor Cultural Center in Banja Luka.

The book is the result of 76 documentary films produced by Lolić Močević for Radio Television of Republika Srpska and Belgrade’s Hram Television.

It is based on 76 testimonies of survivors who recounted to the author the crimes committed in the NDH. At the time, they were between eight and fourteen years old and had lost one or both parents.

Serbs have still not seen the world formally acknowledge the genocide committed against them — one of the greatest atrocities in modern human history.

The author emphasized that the NDH had more than 2,000 execution sites where civilians were killed, and that it was by God’s will that every one of these sites was documented and included in the book.

After Banja Luka, this significant publication will be presented across all regions of Republika Srpska.
