If, as Christian Schmidt claims, he and the so-called Peace Implementation Council (PIC) have already agreed on the next steps Bosnia and Herzegovina “must” take, then it is clear that the country has no need for elections, institutions, or internal political dialogue, said Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.
She stated that, according to the vision of foreign administrators — and contrary to the Dayton Agreement — Bosnia and Herzegovina continues, even after 30 years, to function as a colony in which planning and implementation lie in the hands of foreigners for whom no citizen voted, whether in Republika Srpska or in the Federation of BiH.
“However, it is not true that Christian Schmidt’s previous actions enjoy the support of all foreign actors, no matter how hard he tries to present it that way,” Cvijanović wrote on X.
Earlier today, after the PIC session, Schmidt said that the next steps had been agreed, which, according to him, include the “state-level” budget for next year, “state property,” and the introduction of technologies into the electoral process to ensure integrity and transparency.
Asked whether the United States supports the OHR and the position of the high representative, including the “Bonn powers,” Schmidt said he received “considerable support from the U.S. delegation regarding future cooperation.”
