The Russian Federation has been fully consistent in applying the Dayton Peace Agreement exactly as it was written and adopted 30 years ago, and its support is extremely important, said Aleksandar Vranješ, BiH Ambassador to Serbia.
Vranješ recalled that the Russian Federation is one of the guarantors of the Dayton Peace Agreement and emphasized the importance of its support in implementing the accord, as well as the importance of meetings between Milorad Dodik and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He noted that the entire Russian state leadership, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, has confirmed that they firmly stand by what was signed in Dayton.
“This is important for Republika Srpska, but also for BiH, because the agreement established peace and a political system, and on that basis we maintain an order that is very important to us. Support from the Russian Federation is essential,” Vranješ told reporters on Mećavnik, where he attended the international documentary film festival RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes.
